So it looks like my Cats will be playing the Rebs on Tuesday morning at 9:30 am (Single Elimination).

At this point UK has to pretty much win the SEC Tournament to get a NCAA bid so we're a team with nothing to lose. Unfortunately about all we've done IS lose the back half of the season. And I fear this trend continues on Tuesday (please be gentle).

Winner will face #3 Arkansas, same time on Wednesday (Double Elimination).

Are y'all pitching that big dude that pitches and hits third in the lineup?

Who do we start? Wahl is going to be really screwed up if we don't win a few games and get him back on schedule.

I say start Mayers Tuesday. He will have about 4 and half days rest.

AJ Reed. And I'm guessing that's who we start since Littrell pitched today.

The eternal optimist in me thinks we get our shite together knowing what's at stake. Our issues have been self-inflicted with a ton of errors and guys left on base. But they knew going into the Mizzou series that they needed a sweep for a NCAA bid and that didn't happen.

My guess is they mail it in.

Hopefully we will run a scrub out there... I really want us to start Laxer or Ellis but since Mike Bianco is our head coach and his pitching decisions are anything but conventional I'm looking for Mike Mayers to toe the bump.

We should throw one of the young bullpen guys. The best thing for us may be to lose to Kentucky Tuesday. We aren't hosting, so give us a week to rest our pitchers and get ready to go try to win a regional.

I agree, the last thing we need is to rush Mayers or Wahl back without full rest and ruin their arms going into regionals. I wouldn't pitch Mayers until Thursday, if we make it that far.

And for those who are curious we are pitching Jerad Grundy (6-5, 4.75 ERA). He's apparently 1-0 with a 1.64 ERA in two starts since he moved to midweek.

We're pitching Mayers, so at least it should be a good pitching math-up

Who are we pitching tomorrow? I'm thinking Sam Smith, but with Bianco its almost impossible to tell.

ETA: Smith has a blister, so maybe Ellis will get the start
