Dubiously trying to spin A&M's 2012 season as anything other than a giant success is, well, funny.

When the entire country pegs you at 6-6 (tops), and you finish 5th nationally, that's, uh, good.

Your goal is to be dismissive of TAMU, right. You had a couple alternatives. For example, say something like: "Yeah, but once JFF's gone, they'll revert to lol bad." Or perhaps "When Sumlin jumps to USCw next year, the bottom will fall out."

While these alternatives are both stale and desperate, they're probably less stale and desperate than trying to minimize A&M's 2012 season.

Anyway, just some food for thought.
