Please educate yourself on either what the word perennial means, or TAM's all-time record compared to real perennial powers like Tennessee, UGA, and Auburn.
Talking about the present day landscape of college football, the SEC has become the undisputed dominate power in football only since Florida started it off in 2006 by dismantling my previously undefeated Ohio St. Buckeyes 41-14.

That is only 7 years. So, let’s drop ancient history with the likes of Tennessee, which has been reduced to an SEC doormat since its last SEC championship.

In today's college football landscape, you first need a powerful recruiting program with a rich recruiting base. Then a strong coaching staff, and finally, you need a willing school administration to finance great facilities for a big time football program.

My hunch is that TAM has all of those attributes, but needed to join the SEC and have a great college QB fall into their laps to transform from being UT's weak sister into a golden swan and the pride of the Lone Star State.

Obviously, last year is only one year, but I think a sleeping giant has finally woken up into a present day perennial football power.

TAM is not dominating just yet, but give them a few years, and they will become a perennial SEC power.

You only have to take your eyes off the rear view mirror to see it.
