do not understand why lsu fans get so worked up about sec scheduling? It may suck to be paired with Florida...

Guess what, if TAM hadn't lost to Florida last year, they would have won the SEC West. Bama got Georgia taken off their schedule this year, and both LSU and TAM got Florida last year. You’re an idiot if you don't see the gigantic scheduling advantage Bama enjoyed last year in winning the SEC West.

And the SEC made sure Bama got a gigantic advantage against LSU this year too by switching the Georgia game from Bama to LSU. Making LSU play Florida isn't enough, they had to give Georgia to LSU this year too.

Furthermore, Florida has Georgia as its toughest competition to contend with in the East, while LSU has Bama and now TAM in the West. Florida wouldn't mind rotating LSU on their schedule, but they don't want to go to a nine conference game schedule because they would have to drop an OOC pansy.

There is so much wrong in your post, I'm not sure where to begin...but I'll try.

If you truly believe that Bama and/or the REC has the type of power to dictate schedules, first off you are a conspiracy theory nut. Secondly, you must not have been watching SEC football before last year. Up until 2010, Bama played more teams that had bye week the week before than any other team (and there wasn't really even a close second). 2010 was the straw that finally broke the camels back, but that had been going on for years. So if Bama/REC has that type of power, why did they wait until last year to yield it?

Ummm...I think you have something backwards here. Going to a 9 game schedule is being discussed as a work around for the permanent cross-divisional games. If we did away with them, then we could stay at 8 conference games. So that statement doesn't make any sense. If they wanted to rotate LSU off of their schedule, regardless if they dod or did not want to go to a nine game schedule (which they don't), they would with LSU in wanting to remove the permanent games. But they don't want to rotate them off, and they have not sided with LSU on the subject.

This year's schedule is the only one that I can remember in the last 10 years where Bama has had a destinct scheduling advantage over LSU going into the season. As has been stated many times on the Rant, before last season, there were a lot of people that not only picked Mizzou to compete for the East, but their were some that even picked them to win it. Heck, Mizzou was the school that was supposed to come into the SEC and compete immediately, not aTm. No one knew for sure that Mizzou was going to crap the bed last year.

LSU fans are the only ones that are constantly whining about the cross-divisional games. And this year is the first year than Bama has had a distinct schedule advantage over LSU going into the season. One year doesn't make a trend, so man up and quit whining about it.
