I understand that Auburn had a good D-line and a ton of experience, but I firmly believe Cam Newton carried that team.

That team had a very good O-line, good RB core, decent WRs, something that is always overlook is how many of the guys on the lines were Juniors and Seniors...

Of course the QB/RB/WR are going to get the glory, but even Cam would not have been Cam had he had Tyler Wilson's O-line in front of him...

He did, you're right.

Plus Auburn got what every team gets that wins MNCs ... they got a lot of breaks that year. The ball bounced their way a lot of times.

I was at the South Carolina at Auburn game that year and Cam took that game over and won it for them. That and Garcia just flat gave it away with two late fumbles ... although it is hard to be angry about either of them because both times he was fighting for extra yardage. But Cam just kept doing his thing in that game - it was his breakout game. Nick Fairly definitely contributed on the other side of the ball as well.

Their O-line was stacked with seniors. That helps.
