what is your opinion on the current plan to replace the trees?
do you like it or do you think a better option exists such as having a great looking replica of the trees?

i think it would have looked great to have big, beautiful replicas of those trees to carry on the traditons.

oh and frick updyke, i hope the devil puts him in the sunlight in hell about 5 feet away from an oasis of shaded trees with leaves of toilet paper and he can't move for eternity

They should make him wear this for a year.

I'm okay with it. I don't see much difference in how it was before, and really don't see where they're spending $1.2 million dollars, but whatever.

I saw this in my Facebook feed today from the nice folks at Tide for Toomer's

quote:

Tide for Toomer's

Our thoughts are with the Auburn family today as they say farewell to their beloved Toomer's Corner oaks. Although the oaks will no longer occupy that iconic corner in downtown Auburn, the spirit of the tradition will forever live in the hearts of AU fans. Thank you to all who contributed to our efforts to help Auburn preserve the Toomer's tradition. Your overwhelming support is proof that good rivalry and good sportsmanship go hand in hand. Roll Tide.
