After watching all of the qb not named AJ for Bama, 2014 will not be our year. Not really fair to Bateman though who saw little time and just arrived on campus.

If it does last forever, and it very well could with the playoff system coming, then the rest of the college football world will eventually hate us ... oh, errr, wait.

I'll add this. I'm plenty old enough to remember the UCLA dominance days of basketball when the Wizard of Westwood owned college basketball. I remember when it started in the early sixties and I remember it was not until after I was out of college that it ended in '75. I even remember watching Digger Phelps and Notre Dame with Shumate and that crew break their regular season winning streak. Remember it like it was yesterday.

Point being, it is getting close to that sort of dominance by the SEC in terms of how the rest of the country views it. And they like to say, "oh, but if it wasn't for Bama the SEC would be nothing," but when they say that they are just in denial.

If the SEC can win ten national championships in a row, even if the first eight are technically MNCs for lack of a playoff, then the hate is gonna build like nothing we have seen since the UCLA basketball heydays. And the beauty of SEC football is that it's not just one team threatening ... it's several, every year, and that's never been done before in college sports except for maybe So Cal in baseball in the 60s but they had the deck stacked in their favor back then.
