His stay will be determined the same way all AU coaches have been. Alabama. He beats Bama, he stays. He doesn't, he's gone. Period.
Chizik's still there if he leads AU to 4-7 last year instead of 3-8 with an upset over Bama. Dispute it if you like, but deep down you all know it's true.

That is not true... Tubbs was 7-3 vs Bama, Tiny Terry was 3-2 vs. Bama, both had winning records...
Shug was something like 8-15 vs. Bama and the stadium is named after him.
Now the reverse is true, an Alabama coach (Shoola) can not survive losing to Auburn.
Can you give ONE example to validate this Bama Myth?
ETA: that is part of the reason we got rid of Dumb Barfield, but he was 0-5 vs. Bama and sucked as a coach.

I really don't think so. The decision to fire him came after the Vanderbilt game.
A win against Alabama would have given a lot of people some ammunition to want to keep him, but I just don't think the powers that be could and expect people to want to buy tickets to next years games.
