I played Nerf football with Richard Todd once as a kid. He had a house in Mobile at the time.
You're right, I could have mentioned more, but from around 1980 to 2010 it was pretty bleak. There were a couple of bright spots - Walter Lewis, Brodie Croyle - but it was baffling why we couldn't get top notch QB's to come to Bama.
The most memorable QB play to me (other than David Palmer lining up under center) was the 15 minute 8 yard TD scramble by Freddie Kitchens against Ole Miss. I think every player for the Rebels hit him at least twice. lmao
