I just reread my response. If you're going to a therapist to talk some stuff out and actually get it out/discuss, that's cool. Same situation though, I've been to therapists, my friends have been to therapists, I've heard stories about therapists...and I've never known a single person that was cured of anything by a therapist. Most of those relationships end by the patient just not setting appointments.
Try the meditation thing, it's worked wonders for me. I promise. I gave it a real shot for a month on a suggestion from someone, I did it on my bed with instructions printed out from a website, and I still continue once a week.
My life has been considerably better, and it was pretty fricked when I started.
I'd just avoid the drugs.

well yeah I agree that therapist can't cure anything. Especially something mental, only you can do that. Where I find the benefit in therapy is helping determine what the underlying problem and helping you work through how to deal with it.
