What are you guys hearing on Gunner Kiel?

Word is he has visited both State and OM (his visit was why your practice was rescheduled Monday I was told) as well as visited Cincinnati. Those three schools are supposedly his final 3. Tennessee was In the mix but the fact most of their QBs are Sophs and Fresh hurt their odds.
On the MSU side as crazy as it sounds a lot of our fans are acting as if we don't want/need Kiel. The fact we currently have 1 scholarship QB running spring drills should be enough evidence we need help at QB.
Are most OM fans supportive of a transfer, or do they think y'all should stick with Bo and your signees???

Yancy hasn't said a word about it. As long as it doesn't hurt us with this recruiting class I could not care less.

For me, I don't necessarily want him because he doesn't fit well with our system but then again I don't want y'all to get him because he is a hell of a Quarterback.

He would likely choose state over ole miss if it came down to it for the same reasons he's changed his commitment everywhere else. He wants to the go to guy from day 1. State really lacks depth, especially if yalls guy gets drafted. It would work perfectly for both parties.
And for what it's worth yancy said because of our QB signees and bo only being a junior, hes a long shot for us.

On the MSU boards even our sunshine pumpers are feeling that Kiel winds up at Ole Miss due to the fact yall always seem to land QB transfers, and we NEVER have.

Interesting, even though yall are still in his top 3. I know both MSU and Cincy have SR Qbs this fall. Kiel said he wants to transfer somewhere he will be able to compete for the starting job after his redshirt season. With Bo Wallace coming back for his sr season in 2014 I agree that doesnt make much sense, but hey yall are in his top 3 so Freeze must be telling him something he likes.

But his number one want is to play from the start. We have about 6 good QB's that I just don't think we would be that attractive to him.

I'm all for it. I think we should do anything we can to increase our odds of having a quality QB. Kincade and Buchanan won't like it, but if one of them ends up leaving it's probably because they aren't going to win the starting spot.
That said, does State really have anything to lose? I think Dak is going to be solid, but Kiel wouldn't jeopardize anything.

Well I'd almost say it's more likely that Buchanan just stay like third string QB and never plays a down and pulls the whole "Alex Morgan - Blue Mountain State" and slams pussy and gets drunk all the time partying his arse off ... so Kiel could be our cover in that case.

Honestly he probably just likes our offense and it's potential to let him put up big numbers. If Bo almost broke Eli's record with a torn up shoulder, imagine what a kid like kiel could do after a few years learning.

Bo Wallace, Barry Brunetti, Devante Kincaid, Mikail Miller, and Ryan Buchannan are all fairly good Quarterbacks in my opinion. Not to mention Anthony Alford. If playing right away was really his number one thing, I would think that would make us unattractive to him.

Yeah, that's why I said not to mention. In other words I'm perfectly fine with Bo this year and next year and then DK for 3 years after that. We don't have the system or the room for Kiel
