Looking to get a new 12 gauge shotgun and would love to hear some of the advice of you crazy bastards. Mainly I will be carrying it with me to work everyday in the summer (out in the peanut and cotton fields) and would primarily be used for taking out animals I encounter i.e. snakes and armadillos. Just starting out looking right now and would love to know what brands you guys recommend or prefer, also things like pump action or semi auto, what stores (online mainly) are the most reliable and where to look for some decent deals. Now I will hit submit and pray this doesn't turn into a 2nd amendment/ gun control debate

870 can't begin to tell you how many things have died due to mine. I've got several Mossbergs some for plinking one strictly for turkey. But my go to is my 870

I'd go with a Mossberg. I've got an M590A1 for home defense. Might be a little overkill for small game.

If you're looking for a pump action to toss in the truck then the Mossberg 500 is the way to go.

Its not the prettiest but it is reliable and tough.

Duck, turkey, even deer hunting with slugs... I would say a remington 870

I love my Mossy 500a, you can get one for around $320. You also can't go wrong with a 870.
