It's easy to see Russell is under center at least 95 percent of the time right now in anticipation for the skill set of the 2013 offense for MSU.
We're making this shite way to complicated. Every offensive player has to learn two offensive philosophies with two different sets of plays. Pick a goddamn offense and stick with it.

Well...maybe I am reading too much into this, but it seems like we are going to finally utilize Malcolm Johnson, and I hope we are using Dak a lot to run.
Basically I hope it's just a lot of short passes and running. Boring..but I don't see us having a deep threat.

I think they are just adding on to what he already does.

Hopefully russel doesn't get killed in practice looking like a statue back there

Exactly and that's what is wrong. You're forcing a bunch of college players to learn an NFL playbook.

I see joe morrow being a deep threat this year with his size and speed what about y'all? we haven't had someone of his size and ability recently for Russell to throw at. Plus if we have a deep threat safeties will have to honor it and thus have short passes open more

hopefully having a WR coach that knows what he's doing should help Morrow tremendously.

If he has the ability, let him grow. The bigger issue to me is the OL. We gotta have better run blocking.

Our O-line is one of the things I am least concerned with.

I really hope Ross comes in ready to go. Besides him Jones, what other freshman do y'all think will see regular PT this year and which do you think will redshirt?

We ranked 82 in the country in rushing. It hurt our passing game because we were not a threat. Obviously a deep threat will help out too, but we have to be able to run it more efficiently.

Yeah we just need receivers that can separate. Period.

I think a big part of that ranking is due to Mullen trying to use Perkins in spots where he should have used another back.

If our O-line isn't pretty stout this season, we got big problems.

I think our o-line will be good. Russell needs to stop holding onto the ball for so long.
I am pretty worried about our secondary though. I just have a feeling that Ok State is going to tear us a new one, and the season will go down the shitter from there.

Looks like initially the top 2 CBs are Cox and Redmond. They may lack in experience but with those 2 we won't drop off much if any athletically from Banks and Slay.

I wish I had that optimism.

I think having Gonzo as WR coach will help but as they said, they are going to rely on tight ends heavily and we got sallach coaching them. Not good.

We had him last year. I don't know what the deal is, but with Joe not breaking into the lineup last season, I don't expect much from him this year.
