Calipari had UMASS in the final four. It's not because he signed a bunch of McDonald's All Americans. If Memphis hits some free throws or one of the players listened to Cal and fouled Kansas before Chalmers shoots the three, he has multiple national titles.

They guys is recruiting on another level now, but he has always been a great coach.

Wrong. As the final 4 was vacated, so would have been the championship. I think Calapari got a little full of himself after winning the whole thing last year. He had a team that was remarkably unselfish and that doesn't happen very often. But it is much harder to stay on top than get to the top, IMO.

Might be worth double checking that. I think Marcus Camby was the #1 player or close to it outta HS in his class.
