It makes sense. Get the ball in the hands of your best playmaker. You can't wrap 'em in bubbletape and be afraid of injury.

Hell, the only thing UT did right last year was having Patterson returning kicks...

Agree. I wished one of the C.Jones had stepped up, but if Cooper is the best for it, then I'm all for it.

I get that they're football players and you can't hide them. I just feel differently about punt returners than most. I'm fine with a guy who fields it cleanly, gets what he can, and calls fair catch when he should.

Alabama is/should be talented enough to win without big plays on special teams. Doesn't mean I don't want them. Just means I don't want to risk a player that is more useful elsewhere.

When I was a kid, I was playing Super Tecmo Bowl against my brother. I was playing as Detriot and made Barry Sanders my PR and KR in the depth chart before the game. He was put out of the game on the opening kick off. You know how good the Lions are without Sanders? They fricking suck. I got my arse kicked because i got greedy. That lesson has stayed with me for over twenty years.
