Just flipped over to Comedy Central and Anthony Jeslenik's new show is on. He had a segment where guest tried to spell black folks names.

Well it's different but anytime someone wears houndstooth on TV I always imagine it's a reference to Bama.

Season 2 of "The Mentalist" on CBS.
Jane is on a date with a psychic who gives a message to their waiter. She tells him "Ed says 'Roll Tide'." The waiter says his Uncle Edward died 6 years earlier but played football for the University of Alabama is the 60's.

At the end of the episode, Jane is captured by Red John, the serial killer who murdered his wife and daughter. Red John exits with a "Roll Tide" (at 2:08 in this clip).

A month or so ago on Jeopardy, there was a contestant from Georgia competing, and for his interesting fact about himself, he told a story about how he was arrested at a Bama game.
I believe he said it was a game against Mizzou in the mid to late 70s. Bama's QB was doing pretty well in the game, then for some reason Coach Bryant pulls him for another QB. Well the guy, drunk off his arse, runs all the way down to the fence right by Coach Bryant and starts yelling at him for doing so. He gets hauled off for doing so and spends the night in jail.
The reason Bryant pulled the QB? His jersey was ripped
