Not when you have played 30 SEC games

We play plenty of tough games

@Kentucky
Florida

It's not really out of the ordinary for these teams to play close games.

Rhode Island won't be making the NCAA tourney this year.

Are you implying MSU baseball is "on the bubble?"

You should look in the mirror when discussing such things. Theory shot to shite.

from Boyd's Intended SOS Numbers, so obviously MSU "scheduled" tougher than Tennessee, even in the nonconference.

So does everybody else. Vandy will host a super regional or regional before you guys would with both teams having similar records.

It's for anything, bubble teams, regional hosts, super regionals, getting your team better, etc.

Tennessee is going to play a ranked Virginia Tech twice, ranked ASU 3 times, and a ranked ND before we even get to conference play along with 4 road games @ UNLV.

No, they don't. And no, they won't.

We play the toughest in-conference schedule of anyone this year by a mile. Not even debatable. No other team misses all 3 of the shitshows that are Mizzou, Tennessee, and Georgia this year -- in favor of South Carolina, Kentucky, Vandy, and Florida.

LSU can get away with it in baseball just like most SEC schools can. When 4 teams in the west alone are in the top 10 and others in the east are also highly ranked you dont have to play tough OOC games. Same thing as football. The conference is plenty strong to give you a high rpi.

So, you are saying that Boyd's numbers -- widely known as THE college baseball authority -- are wrong... and you are right?

Intended SOS means nothing. What does the RPI calculate again, intended or actual? TIA.

Congrats on going on the road to start the season and laying a shitburger at UNLV...which, by the way, are your only true road games in the nonconference.

Miss State plays a grand total of 1 non-conference baseball game this year on the road. Not even any on neutral fields!!!!!!!!!!

ABSURD SCHEDULING!!!!!!!

Tennessee plays 6 true road games and 4 neutral site games in the non-conference.

Jesus you are dense.

quote:

Intended SOS means nothing.

It means everything when calculating SCHEDULING, which was your initial argument. We can't help it if we schedule teams that are supposed to be good and have down years.

Our RPI will be just fine, thanks.

I am hoping to GOD, that LSU beats you two of three and then y'all get swept @ UK and @ Arky to start off 1-8 in the SEC.

I will also bet you $ that the Tennessee Final non-conference SOS will greater than Miss State's.
