I was just asking an opinion and Eric Nies got all upset cause he forgot this was the SECr , he thought we were on sixpack and I was an Ole Miss lurker... And apparently Steve's article hit home cause his dad was addicted to cough syrup and used to rob convenience stores in Lamar county too.

Your baseball team is really good.. I'll be down there for a Friday game soon... Then I'll flame the hell out of Engie afterwards for snorting maroon cocaine and posting this:

Friday night is Evan Mitchell's to lose. He has EVERY BIT as good of stuff as Stratton had

State has an incredible collection of arms.. Top to bottom, It may be the best group in the country... But no one has Chris Stratton stuff on your pitching staff this season... No one.

I was just laughing at you because you spend money on Gene's Page. No anger here.

That's true, hopefully someone will step up and be our dominant ace. I'm ready for our weekend series with Ole Miss up in Oxford. I will definitely be out there with my OM friends

You act like Chris Stratton was a once-in-a-lifetime pitcher for MSU. In reality, he was the 6th different first rounder pitcher I've personally watched come through MSU -- and of the group, he had the most lackluster total college career of any of them -- by alot.

Have you ever watched a radar gun with Mitchell/Stratton throwing side by side in the pen? Seen the movement on their off speed stuff in the same circumstances? Yeah, I didn't think so. There's a big difference between being a bullpen superstar and an all-SEC/first round pitcher -- and the difference is in what lies between the ears. In a bullpen scenario, scouts label them as virtual identicals. That's a fact.

What was Chris Stratton before he dominated as a JR? He was a guy with electric stuff that rattled easily and hadn't put things together. He didn't even become our Friday night guy last year until SEC play began. That's exactly where Evan Mitchell currently is.

Stratton fr - 5.29ERA 1.613WHIP .973KIP .280baa
Mitchell fr - 4.62ERA 1.535WHIP .996KIP .262baa

Stratton so - 5.21ERA 1.447WHIP 1.00KIP .278baa
Mitchell so - 3.52ERA 1.548WHIP 1.13KIP .225baa

Stratton jr - 2.38ERA 0.998WHIP 1.16KIP .211baa
Mitchell jr - 1.80ERA 1.200WHIP 1.20KIP .176baa (1 game)

Any more questions, Reggie?
