Oh well....if we strike gold on both Green and Lammons, which will give us a solid 3-deep at CB, I guess Smith bounces back to RB

I hope we score on both Green and Lammons ... but Smith will either be a DB or he'll transfer after this coming season.

I think Mangus is going back to Recruiting Coordinator now.

What gives you that idea?

That would be a major, major, move unless it was done on the surface to justify G.A.'s salary raise.

Jr got the Recruiting Coor title after Mangus pissed on the tiger paw. Jr currently has 3 titles, Rec Coordinator, Passing Game Coordinator and WR Coach. I think Passing Game Coordinator is a resume' filler, IDK what that really is...much like Elliot's Run Game Coordinator. Even if it's not just a filler title they should still spread the responsibilities amongst the staff.

Mangus is a better recruiter than Jr, just look at the guys they have singed over the years or are signing this year.

I just think if Jr is a WR Coach with about 12+ guys he's coaching, a Passing Game Coordinator (for whatever that means) and Recruiting Coordinator...then it would just make sense to get Recruiting Coordinator off his plate and give it to Mangus, since Mangus is the QB Coach (under Spurrier) and is only really focused on coaching 4-5 guys.

Davidson is still solid after his AU trip.

Let's put an offer out to Casey Gladney.

With Scott and Prince now off the board, I would've liked an offer to the Punter Corbin Daily, I'm not liking the current level of production our punting is performing at.

Good call on Gladney, he could be a decent offer, as well as the Ford guy who plays Basketball too for Trinity.

Mangus and Elliot both have the co-offensive coordinator title.

Mangus may be the better recruiter but I think the recruiting coordinator has more to do with organization and bureaucratic type things.

Was Mangus the recruiting coordinator before Bubba? I honestly don't remember

Yes, Mangus took it after Shane Beamer left to go back to Va Tech. Mangus lost it after peeing on the tiger paw in the up state and getting booked.

If we land Lammons, Wideman, and Green (pretty confident) we would have the 12th best recruiting class

Donell Stanley on Gamecock target Dexter Wideman: "I was talking with Dexter. We were a good pairing at Shrine Bowl, so that will be good going against him in practice every day, us whipping each other. I think he might come around."

Yes, but as a walk on I thought. If we offer him a scholarship, he would come to USC.

Exactly

Also, somewhere in this thread someone was asking about a punter ... and the best HS punter I've seen in years was ours, in the Shrine Bowl.

Unfortunately I believe that kid is headed to Clemson. But I mean he is a serious weapon.

The noles 247 insiders have already predicted he will flip to SC with the cryslal ball, and this past week they reaffirmed their suspicions and predicted him to flip to SC. I've been in the school of thought that if he was going to flip, he would've done so by now. The noles comments this past week, this close to NSD, makes me believe a little bit more that he might flip, but IDK. I'm still not going to be shocked if he doesn't flip, I think I'm going to be more surprised if he does flip.

The prevailing school of thought on this is that he's not going to announce anything until NSD cos he doesn't want to be hounded by FSU's recruiters. That part makes some sense to me.

That said, I'm not counting on him coming here. Though, there are more than a few people who are convinced that he's already a silent.
