Texas AD DeLoss Dodds Rips Missouri By Larry Leo - Feb 12, 2013 10:55 am DeLoss Dodds, the University of Texas athletic director, seems to be on some sort of mission to shift the focus away from all the negativity around the football program in Austin – suspensions, the team’s struggles, Mack Brown’s job security – to other sports or schools. Dodds recently said college basketball was in “shambles,” and the sport went on an unprecedented run of upsets and buzzer beaters. His latest target? For some reason, Dodds took a jab at Missouri in the Statesman... quote: “We’re going to have good years again,” Dodds promised. “Our bad years are not that bad. Take a school like Missouri. Our bad years are better than their good years. But we’ve created a standard.”

Un-real..... i wanna play texas. Screw Bevo and the Big 12

I laughed. What a pathetic display of unprofessional behavior. He's a moron. And I thank his hubris for clearing the way for us to the SEC.

Bevo always is so full of itself. Quotes like this remind me how bad it sucked having them control everything. They no longer matter and that is a great feeling. It is funny that the hawks and sooners have to get on there knees and service Bevo on demand.

Our SEC brothers and sisters are ALL with the Tigers of Missouri against the big evil ball chewers named Texas Longhorns.

That is family and that is what a conference is !!!

Thank you Thank you Thank you SEC when you asked us to be part of your family!!

Well said reedus. Things must really be bad in tejus.

I guess he forgot that one tejus down year where they were even lower than us because we kicked thier asses in football and basketball. Sooooooo, he might want to revisit his recent memory and correct his statement.

Seems to me, most Mizzou fans, at least y'all here, have moved on. Most of the talk is about the future and what can be done to improve the program and department as a whole. We all might agree or disagree at times on what should be done, but I never hear anyone dwelling on the past. Maybe if someone else brings it up, we'll comment, but no one is dwelling on it. I just find it humorous that Texas and the rest of the Big 12 are still butthurt over A&M and Mizzou leaving to the point we're still fresh in their minds.

I hope DeLoss Dodds, along with Mack Brown & Rick Barnes, never leave the longhorns. They are a great source of continued entertainment for me.

Yep, your right. And it doesn't help when the new kids come in and kick these Big shots asses (TCU/KU) It just drives that dagger even deeper.

I don't think so. I think it was such a ridiculous statement, it won't hurt. What will hurt are continued 5-7 seasons. Win 8,9 or 10 games and the statement is meaningless.
