LR Students are smarter than NWA Students.

I watched an ep last week that Leonard won, some sophmore white chick kinda dominated but she f'd up her bet on final jeopardy. She had $18000 and only bet $800. Leonard bet the whole thing with his $10200 and jumped her.
The whole time I was saying to myself you better not under bet this LR kid, he's gonna put it all on the line, win or go home. Sure enough. He's got a sweet fro too. Trebeck mentioned that he's captain of his football team too. He seems like a pretty solid kid, hope the notoriety helps get a scholly to Stanford or an Ivy league school. ( just read the article, says he wants to go to Brown. One of my best friends went there, he'll love it. Providence is probably the only city in the NE I'd want to live in)
I rail on the LRSD a lot because $70M and $1.2B over 30 years to bus kids and meet the desegregation requirements is a big time drag on our state.

You're like the little girl and the 3 bears, too hot or too cold.

i am.
and
to you for watching jeopardy- i dvr it like a nerd.
just popped in my head- the kids jeopardy winner was from maumelle (i think?), and now the teen, all we need is the college one and we'd have a clean sweep.

I wanted to try out for College Jeopardy, but I never got around to it. I always thought it would be funny for the announcer to introduce a sophomore from Harvard and a freshman from Stanford, followed by a fifth year senior from Arkansas.
I did eventually take the online test for real people Jeopardy and it kicked my arse. My dreams were shattered.

me too, i love the show but if i'm being truthful i'm semi-decent at the jeopardy round. i suck horribly in double jeopardy unless it's useless info and then i'm pretty good at it. and i have some mental block when it comes to geography so a 6th grade question there would trip me up.

I automatically quit paying attention any time Literature, Poetry, or Shakespeare come up.

Pretty sure that's federal money. Although LRSD would love to have the money it's split between LRSD, PCSSD, and NLSD. But the real prob is PCSSD, because they can't get there shizz together to get off of deseg. And it's the federal rules that make it cost so much. They will pick up one student 30 miles away to take them to a magnet school, but a student going to a normal school on the same route can't ride that buss. One of the dumbest things I have ever seen.

The deseg issue needs it's own thread. I don't want to derail this kid's celebration thread.
Good job Leonard! I'm proud of everyone from Arkansas that does well in whatever they're doing. There's a lot of disadvantages growing up in Arkansas when you compete nationally. I root for anyone from here.

$18000 daily double bet with 6 clues left in the game - would have left him with only $200 and less than a minute of game left. shook his head with the 'ugh/don't like' look before even selecting the category.
kid was great- awesome finale.
