Applewhite isn't that good. He may develop into a good player, but out of HS in Memphis he had very few offers from D1 schools.

I didn't say he was that good. I said we would be better with him. Would we not? Applewhite, Lewis, Davis and we are a totally different team.

For someone that has probably never seen him play in person, you seem to think this point is true. When in all actuality it isn't. Applewhite at this time is a poor man's Jamont Gordon to say the least. He is very talented, just raw. He will thrive as a 2/3 hybrid in the motion offense.
