Ray is doing exactly what he was hired to do. He was told they didnt give a shite if he won a game this year or not- they wanted the program cleaned up. The President and others had had enough.

2 points on this:

1- He very well may have been hired to do that. Again, that does not mean that it had to be done in this way. There was another way...

2- I would have to see the transcript or hear the conversation to believe that the AD and President told him to at all cost, "clean it up".

Had we not had the injuries- we would have been an NIT team this year anyway. It's the injuries that killed the season- not discipline

100% disagree, and you nor I will know for a fact. Pure speculation.

If this team had had Applewhite and Davis- who both handle the ball better than Bloodman- we would have had fewer turnovers and much better cohesion on offense. Not to mention more talent and depth. Bloodman was supposed to be the 3rd guard of that group

Having Wendell Lewis would have also made us better obviously in the post.

With those 3 guys- we would have:

beaten Troy- a 3 pt loss
Had a chance to beat Providence
beaten Loyola- 8 pt loss
beaten Ala A&M- 2 pt loss
beaten A&M- lost in OT
beaten LSU- 1 pt loss

So at worst- we are 12-10 with a possible shot at being 13-9 right now- with a chance to win 4-5 more games. We may not have made the NIT- but would have been an 8-10 team in the SEC at worst and had a winning record with a team full of Freshmen

Losing those 3 guys was a killer to this season

Well, all I can tell you is that is what they said. Keenum and Strick wanted basketball run the same way Football and Baseball are run- with accountability.
Ray runs it the same way Mullen and Cohen do- and the guys are learning what will happen if the break rules.

We had the most out of control program in the country. You think they fired Stans and then told Ray to do the same thing?
