Rejoice, Tennessee fans and cfb fans. this fraud who was born in 1st and goal situation with inches to go will be fired soon. the team is falling apart. brawl at the Sun Bowl, losing 4 players on NSD and now this. he'll be let go in the mid-season probably.

Kiffin reminds me so much of Icarus.

This guy may be the biggest piece of shite that has ever coached a college football team.

Biggest, most arrogant pissant douche in college football. Makes Bobby Petrino look like a piker and that's hard to do.
It would serve him right if he was fired at mid-season and they hired Polamalu back as interim coach

Agreed. It's amazing how many opportunities he's been given despite not really having accomplished anything. What's more amazing is how he pisses it all away.

It's funny because often times people completely overreact with their hate on TD, but for Lane, I really feel its all deserved.

USC had a preview of what they were getting and hired him anyway. They deserve each other.

Who would take that job right now though? I know it's USC, but they still have 2 more recruiting classes under sanctions, and because of Kiffen's unique evaluation talents (half of the 12 he signed last Wednesday will be off the team in another year or two) they aren't even going to have enough scholarship players to fill out a 2 deep in a few years.

Kiffin gonna Kiffin.
He'll be the new Volunteer coach after Butch Jones is fired...with Derek Dooley as his DEFENSIVE coordinator and Gene Chizik as his OFFENSIVE coordinator.

I remember an article written around the time he was fired from the Oakland job (I believe).
Great line the writer had (paraphrased):
"Lane Kiffen was born on third base and thinks he hit a triple."

I remember the uproar that was caused by Kiffin's firing from Oakland by the late Al Davis. The media let Davis have it and Ian Fitzsimmons, who broadcast out of Birmingham on JOX at that time, said Al Davis needed to die.
His decision to fire Kiffin four games into the 2008 season looks genius in retrospect.

Everybody should hope he stays there as long as possible.

I totally agree with these two quotes and he's perfect for USC.

I'd say he's more of a phaeton. The question is who will be Zeus and strike him down.
