Sorry you couldn't beat a cheating Texas team. We didn't have the same problem.

But we were undefeated when the national title was awarded to us. We didn't have to go to a bowl game because they were not required to increase your standing in the minds of voters back in the day. Maybe we didn't play as hard in the Orange Bowl as a result? We already had the hardware. It didn't matter by that point.
