Randy McCown?
Mark Farris?
Reggie McNeal?

All broke the single season passing yardage record one after another.

Technically, it is impossible to give an answer that qualifies under the conditions of the OP. I dont remember the best qb that nobody remembers.

Easily Corey Pullig. Greatest "winner" in Aggie history with 33 wins and 3 straight SWC titles.

McCown didn't break any single season passing yardage records.

The most RM threw for was 2,374 while Murray was at 2,463.
