We're gonna need to pick it up on recruiting.
Yeah, I hate to be that barner, but the fact that Kentucky has a Top 10 recruiting class is making me a little nervous about Auburn right now. As I say every year, I'm sure a winning season will spice things up but until that happens what are we looking like?
I know Craig has been big but after him who's picking up the slack? Especially on offense which has always been our recruiting strength (on paper; see frazier, kiehl)but right now we seem to be pulling in the defensive guys while looking at 2nd and 3rd options on offense
If I'm wrong or off base then my bad otherwise could someone fill me in?

The fact of the matter is alot of guys want to wait and see if we improve this season. Also, our coaches haven't had the past year or two to build relationships with recruits. With alot of the big time guys we're going after, it's going to take some time to build a relationship. I'm just glad we aren't settling for average prospects.
In the end, we'll have a top 10 class. I'm not worried

Does anyone else think the second play in Quinns highlight film looks just like the seen from Forest Gump when he returns the kick off
I'm on the side of not even taking a qb if we miss on Harris. Doss would be a waste of a scholly IMo. He looks like another Kodi Burns / Jonathan Wallace.
Are we still looking at the Mathew Jordan kid at QB? He looks better than Doss IMO

Andrew Bone said on twitter that things are looking good for Bama and 5* RB Joe Mixon.
Either they're giving up on LF or Roc Thomas is their 3rd choice at RB

Also. in terms of quality of prospect UK is 9th in the SEC. While that is 4 spots higher than normal for them it's still lower tier.

I think it's kinda sad how Roc is waiting around for Bama. Kinda like giving a girl your # and waiting around by the phone waiting for them to call

I would love to get Thomas, but sorry, I'm not buying it.
No way Saban is going to pass on such a high profile instate player.

18.9 YPC? fricking YES Please
If he came to Auburn and had a career close to Welker at TTech it would be fantastic

I think I got acustomed to the Trooper Show which was all action all the time and the fact that things have been so quiet lately is a little weird now
I actually like the fact that this staff is more low key especially if we come out big on Signing Day

If he gets who he wants, he's going to do exactly that. And right now, he pretty much gets who he wants.

Thomas is a backup plan for them right now. If they land Mixon/Fournette/Cook, no need for the backup.
The fact of the matter is Bama is at a point now that they don't need to get a ton of in-state guys, even if they are high profile. They can get equally good talent from anywhere they want, if in the off chance they don't, they are confident enough that they can come in late with the in-state guys and swing them. They're a machine right now

Agreed but I think Saban is making a mistake if we get Roc and get 8 of the top 12 in state then they are letting us off the mat so to speak. As good as our new staff is at recruiting and developing players it would be ill advised to let us off the mat like that. If not this year then in future years when winning the in state recruiting battle plus doing reasonable well on the field will help us make some serious in roads in this state and in the Southeast.
