Who will draft Lattimore?

I am hoping for the Falcons (see username) since Turner is over the hill and Jacquizz will never be an every down back. Thoughts?

I think it will be someone, like Atlanta (I guess), who won't necessarily rely on him for the upcoming season, but has a backfield that is either not stellar, but is serviceable, or is nearing the end of their career. I wouldn't mind seeing him in Indy (Colts fan...) with Ballard and Brown. They are decent (and Ballard could be good going forward) but I don't think either are true feature backs.
I know he and the doctors think he will be full go by the start of next year, but a better brighter future would be had by both him and the team that drafts him if he is eased into the NFL instead of loaded down right off the bat.

I would like for him to be drafted by the Panthers, but that probably won't happen since we already have Williams, Stewart, and Tolbert.
I haven't looked up anything, but what kind of draft grade is Lattimore getting pre-combine? I would think he is 3rd round at best.

His rehab is going well.
He's worked at the rehab center at the Andrews Institute for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, gradually improving the strength in his knee. He lifts weights three times a week, jogs lightly in the water and says he walks around as easily as if he turned an ankle instead of severely damaging a knee.
He will start jogging on land soon, if he hasn't started already.

Yep, his goal is to play in the fall, but I'm not going to hold my breath for that. I think he will get drafted, Rd 2 is the HIGH end, but he could fall to Rd 6. Then it's all about prepping for another level of contact and his mobility.
I think that if he goes late, the team will take the chance and play him in the fall, but if he goes early, it's b/c they are looking at him as an investment and might let him heal longer.
Hopefully he can accomplish his goal.

Well IMO he needs to take all the time he can to heal up and I hope whoever gets him sees that. would hate for him to have a one or two year career

quote:Same here. I think he should take the whole year off maybe only getting a few plays in toward the end of the season in scrub time, just to get some real contact and get a feel for the game. I would hate to see him thrown out there early and often so I hope he goes to a team with a deep RB core.

If he can get fully healthy, I see him as a good match for the Pats or Colts, especially.
