How many times do we have to explain this before it is understood? The BIG 6 was not some arbitrary number that we pulled out of our asses.

The moniker was coined by those teams winning every SEC championship since 1963.

That is:
Alabama - 17
Florida - 9
Georgia - 7
Tennessee - 7
LSU - 7
Auburn - 6

Until that changes, they remain the Big 6.

Thanks for splaining this. Some people (cough, cough, such as myself, cough, cough) didn't know the association and it is annoying as hell when posters chide other posters for not knowing it. Seriously, GTFOY losers.

Big 6 doesn't quite capture it. It's the Big 1 and the Other 5.

See, even the State fans understand.

And they are the true Agro Americans of the SEC.

Since each of these schools have also won a national championship since 1963, why not make that part of the criteria as well?
