re: The branding of Alabama football BY NICK SABAN

FYI, when Coach Bryant was there, Rammer Jammer was sung before, during, and after the games. As in: We're going to beat the hell out of you, we are beating the hell out of you, and of course, we just beat the hell out of you. As LSU fans, surely you remember this as it happened often in Tiger Stadium.

You all are not alone. If the weather people in B'ham dropped the ball, then the city of Chattanooga totally shite the bed.
The high today was 19 degrees. The weather people gave an update around 4 stating that there would be little or no accumulation; by then it was already an inch of packed ice on the roads.
No salt or sand trucks to be found. Schools closed at 11am but buses could not go up the hills to get to the schools. Policeman in the lane next to mine watching the cars spin and slide across the road just like I was.
I live about 15 miles from where I work. It took me 5 1/2 hours to get home.

I have lost a good deal of respect for AP. As it appears to me, AP knocked this kids mom up and split. Probably only saw this kid a few times a year, if that. AP is in a difficult PR situation. He barely knew this son and had little attachment to him but he needs to act like he is in deep mourning to the public.
According to the information provided by the mom's friend. AP and the woman had brief relationship until the mom moved out of town. AP did not know she was pregnant. The mom did not even know who the father was;. Even after the little boy was born, She still was unsure who his daddy was. AP was ot named as the father on the baby's birth certificate.
From all accounts thus far, the mom had paternity test done that confirmed that AP was the father. No information has been released to indicate whether AP ever got to meet the little boy to try and build a relationship with him or not.
Even though this was his son, it seems that AP is reacting like the rest of are--appalled and horrified that someone would beat a baby like this. He may not feel how I would feel if it were my son because I have loved and cared for him since was born. AP did not know this little boy the way he did the son that we have seen in the pictures. Therefore, I will give him a pass on however he chooses to deal with this tragic situation.
re: Why doesn't Alabama have a real elephant for a mascot?

Elephants are a social species that live together as herds. It would be really cruel to take a baby elephant from its mother and family.
re: At what age did you take your youngsters to their first game?

I gave my son season tickets for his 4th b'day. The fans around us were amazed that he actually knew what was going on.

I 100% agree with your first point but the problem with your second is they are not a deep team and they were fighting for the 8th spot.
They were fighting for the 8th spot when Kobe sprained his ankle and they had to play more bench players. Not picking on you, just a question in general, why have them on the team in the first place if they aren't good enough to spell your stars for a few minutes each night? Also, why does every bench player that the Laker's release or trade end up being stars on other teams? Hell, almost half of the clippers is made up of former Lakers.

quote: The sad thing is D'Antoni is going to take a lot of crap for this. For one thing, I'm guessing that Kobe didn't want to come out of games. For another NO ONE knows if playing a lot of minutes had ANYTHING to do with the injury. Dan Marino ruptured his Achilles while back peddling for a pass. Two of my buddies tore theirs while playing softball. Unfortunately, that's all we'll hear about from the talking heads over the next week.
It's not just the massive minutes Kobe was playing during this stretch and this injury. It's not even the fact that Kobe went down twice tonight with an injury to both knees before the Achilles tear. It is D'Antoni's history of using players until their bodies break down: Amare and Lin.
Laker injuries this year: Pau Gasoline, Dwight Howard, Steve Nash, Steve Blake, Jamison, World Peace, Jordan Hill, Jodie Meeks, Earl Clark and now Kobe. I know injuries happen in sports but that an awful lot of injuries for one basketball team.
D'Antoni's style of play does fit a roster with the age of the lLakers. He also refused to use a deeper rotation when the have back to back games.

Very. So did they only steal act cards, or did they take "real" debit cards
There is no real difference between an act card and a "real" debit card as they both are guaranteed with money deposited into the account. One difference is where they are accepted. Another difference is the act card has the students picture on it so you can't pretend that you thought it was one of your friends card. I see no benefit from trying to minimize the theft of an act card.

That is funny. But is he watching Te'o, or sitting next to someone and talking? Can't figure out why his eyes are moving right to left, yet Te'o is moving left to right?
He was on the opposite side of the field watching Te'o. On his first attempt, Harbaugh just hung his head in disgust.

Since each of these schools have also won a national championship since 1963, why not make that part of the criteria as well?
