Otherwise, scheduling differences are too great to consider them legit titles in many seasons.
I didn't even think it would be a debate that regular season title>>>tournament title.
A whole conference schedule outweighs the few played in the SEC tourny.

Sure right now they are but I thought we were talking about all-time Historical significance. At the end of the day, the end-all measuring stick in any sport has got to be national championships. Just ask Alabama about that in football right?
Obviously historically it's LSU, but I'm not afraid to say SC is on par with LSU in baseball right now. I could give 2 shits about Bama and football. They only play 1 sport as far as they are concerned.

LSU definitely has the edge over South Carolina in that department.
LSU does not have decades and decades of dominance as opposed to SC in baseball. In fact SC went to Omaha times 5 before LSU made it once. What LSU had was a great run in the '90s that has continued tow today. Also like I mentioned before both SC and LSU have 6 appearances in the CWS title game / series. Where LSU distances itself is that LSU is 6-0, SC is 2-4... impressive for LSU undoubtedly but decades and decades > than SC? I don't think so.

What the crap? And arkansas acts like they are good in baseball? What a joke

Our 90s was so good it counted as 3 decades.

yep, this is fact.
also, LSU won all, but one of their NCs I believe, when the championship game format was still just 1 game instead of a 3 game series.
so kudos go to LSU winning that first game where we fricked up and lost while it was in that format.

Despite their relatively recent outburst in success its hard to not put LSU in there. So.Cal runs away with it with 12 national titles but isn't LSU 2nd with 6? I think Texas has 5 or 6 as well and ASU has another 5. Either way LSU has to be in there.

True, and im not really surprised but they talk about Bud Walton Arena all the time which AK could sleep through the game and still win. Talk about baseball but OM will slap them around again this year. I had no idea they have always been below mediocrity in SEC play and SEC tournaments.

So when the regular season champ avoides the #2 and #3 teams on their schedule while the #2 team was lucky enough avoid the worst two teams in the league and neither team played each eother.... you feel that the first place team is undoubtedly the best team in the league?

Virginia and North Carolina should be considered as well
Virginia- 2 CWS appearances all time, no titles
UNC- 9 CWS appearances, no titles
