We now see that your argument for simultaneously give Arkansas credit for '64 while denying A&M credit for '19 and '27 has been reduced to this: If A&M had really won the NC, they would not have waited until last year to claim it.

What a horrible argument. National championships are anachronistic. Nobody cared about them in 1919 and 1927. But people do now, and they keep up with them historically. We never claimed them because it never seemed that big of a deal. Over time, it came to matter a little more. So, we started accepting the titles that had been granted to those teams by organizations that have no affiliation with A&M. It's obvious that those teams deserve it, just as it is obvious that Bama would not have won the AP poll had they voted after the bowl games.

They didn't matter in 2008 but in 2012 they were important enough!
