Did Alabama prove its dominance in this past BCS?

No doubt Bama destroyed ND but did they really show as much dominance that is being speculated?
ND looked like a JV team in comparison of size and skill. I don't think this was the best measuring stick.
I think last year's Bama team proved much more than this past year was able to do.

They dominated the team they played. That's all they could really do.

Bama proved it was the best team in the country
when they won the SECCG
when they won the SECCG

Here's the real question: Will anybody give a frick in two or three years?

Without question, yes. 3 out of 4. Back to back blow outs in the title game. Not much of a debate really.

This I can agree with. And is also the reason I felt they were just that good, not bc of ND.

And honestly the stars are aligning for next year too. If we can get by ATM and LSU we are golden again.

Here's some domination for you, since college football began pitting #1 and #2 against each other on a consistent basis in the postseason, Alabama has played in the big game 4 times (1992, 2009, 2011, and 2012). Alabama is 4-0 and has won each contest by an average margin of 21.5 points.

You beat us in the championship, we beat you in regular season. IDGAF

His point, I think, was that Notre Dame is an undermatched in every phase. It appears Notre Dame would win 6 to 8 games in the SEC. I agree completely.
But it doesn't diminish Bama's accomplishment. It's not our fault that ND turned out to be in over their heads.

Like that's some small feat. Are you trying to say 2012 ND is as good as 2011 LSU?

Correct, it wasn't this year's BCS championship that ultimately proved your dominance IMO.
And yes, there's nothing you can do about the unmatched ND team. You beat the shite out of them and that's all you could do.

The aftermath of Monday night's BCS National Championship Game kind of reminds me of the 2005 Orange Bowl, the game where USC annihilated Oklahoma, 55-19. Going into the game, a lot of people in the media felt both teams were worthy. After the game, however, everyone was like, "It should have been USC vs. Auburn."
