Arky fans:

"40% on free throws isn't gonna cut it!"

"Gosh, are we EVER going to get a rebound?"

"My goodness we're terrible on the road!"

sound familiar Mizzou fans?

I don't give a shite about the refs.. This is just AWFUL undisciplined basketball on our part.

This pretty much sums it up.

Welcome to a MA coached team.

Outside the normal flaming, some Mizzou fans honestly tried to warn them that MA is not the second coming of Nolan. The complaints sure sound familiar.

I was one of them. But we wouldn't believe them if the situation was reversed.

It's like when you decide to date someone and people try to warn you off. You don't believe it, it's something you have to learn for yourself. They're learning.

You know it's true though!! Some things must just be learned by oneself. Hopefully with as little pain and humiliation as possible.

Watched some of that game.....I mean massacre. All I could say to arkytards is, welcome to the world of MA. It's full of high highs and rock bottom lows. But it's more lows than highs, and it never changes, MA is what he is. A mediocre CBB coach. The arkytards better get used to watching games just like lastnight.

I'll never understand how CMA did as well as he did at Mizzou. Mizzou's program must have something that helped him out but no idea what.

My god, the whining about the refs was ridiculous in that thread. They obviously have never played at kU.

MA wasn't a horrible coach. Lack of discipline on the Court, but his style of play will typically win you a fair amount of games but forget it on the road and forget it in the tourney where you're not getting every call to go your way. It can be exciting to watch for 2 or 3 games and then you shite the bed because of a lack of discipline and fundamentals.

I agree, I think he was a good coach at MU. Just seemed distracted every offseason.

When the refs are calling fouls, the flow of his offense grinds to a halt. Plus, he'll always have a hard time finding real size to fit in that system.

He is one of the worst "coaches" in the country. He is decent at finding guys who can play together, but that is it. There isn't one strength he has when it comes to Xs & Os.

I found it interesting that after the game a reporter asked MA where they need to improve. MA's response was to "get better players". Take some responsibility Mike...that was coaching all the way.

I personally believe Arky has some really good players and MA inherited a top10 recruiting class (especially compared to the zero recruits when he left Mizzou). BJ Young is their best player and he is only averaging a team high 27 minutes a game. MA always upset me when he benched the best players, presumably to keep them fresh, especially when their shooting was just getting hot.

I believe Arky's recent trouble rests squarely on MA's shoulders and his reluctance to alter his game plan when it is clearly not working.

Having said all of that...we still have to play them twice this year...and possibly without L Bowers. You never know what is going to happen.

As a Mizzou fan and therefore KU, Longhorn, Arky hater, we almost hit the trifecta yesterday. only KU squeeked out an OT win over ISU. So, so close.

Can't believe any coach would make such a statement. Would not motivate me, if I was under his guidance.

No kidding. That was an ignorant thing to say, and if I was on his team I'd be pissed.

And when has MA ever changed his game plan, regardless of whether it was working or not? That was my biggest issue with him as a coach, he's so inflexible and will run his system into the ground no matter what. Even when he was getting his butt kicked. That used to annoy me to no end.

Mike Anderson fooled me for several years here at Mizzou. I always thought he was such an honest, upstanding guy who had good character. The longer he was around, the more I started to think he's a thug POS
