Saban not quite the Icon the Bear is

First off this Midwest Farm Boy from Missouri now living in the Mid South SALUTES Bama for the arse whipping they gave ND!! The last 2 championship games have been total domination by the Tide. Congrats.
You do not need to be a Southerner to know that to be the HC of Alabama you have to be bigger than life. The Bear was (and still is) and Nick is lacking. As a football coach he is on the same level as the Bear but as Alabama's HC is lacking a few qualities.
First you have to make a fashion statement. Crimson Golf shirts a fashion statement does not make. A marketing firm can help you there.
Second you have to have great stories and be a great story teller. Nick has none of those. Again a marketing firm might be able to help you there.
Third all the women in the Memphis area that I have talked to that are Bama fans say you are "Cute". I believe Leigh Anne Tuohy stated that in the movie The Blind Side. There is nothing CUTE in football. Cheerleaders should be hot not cute. Bear Bryant was a rugged man. A bar fight scar could help you there. Talk to some Bama alumni about that.
The last thing Nick cannot do. That is to be in a commercial and ad lib like the Bear did. "Call your Mama, I wish I could call mine" Priceless.
