What Spurrier has done at South Carolina is nothing short of amazing but, since he got there in 2005, he has only been to the SEC Championship once.
I think what you mean to say is he has the ONLY SECCG appearance in school history. Looked at through that prism, he's a god there.

Is this even a serious question? Spurrier was the coach in the best football producing state in the united states and only won a title once. This also is in a time when Lsu, alabama, georgia, etc were no good. He's also in one of the best talent producing states in the country now. They're not even comparable. Who ever started this question needs his head examined. Saban has changed college football, spurrier is most famous for his whining and throwing his visor.

I'm not denying that. What he's done at South Carolina has been incredible, I'm just saying he has taken South Carolina to the same number of SEC Championship Game appearances as Mississippi State.
