I don't want to throw cold water on all the fun but unless you come from the Ivy League, Cambridge/Oxford or a few select schools like MIT or Stanford, no one really gives a frick where you went to school. That's right Gators and Aggies, no Oooo's and Ahhh's if you tell someone you graduated from Texas f'ing A&M.

This is the correct response when your school ranks low academically and you have nothing meaningful to add.

This. You cannot find a job where a hiring decision will be made based upon an A&M degree versus another school in the SEC. Same for Florida.
