Two average teams squaring off to see who the best average team in CFB is.. big deal. Only the biggest homers think that any team in the country this year could compete with some of the champions from previous years. Not a single team this season has impressed me.. not even LSU, even when we were contending.

When this terrible Florida team is #3 in the country and this LSU team is top-10.. CFB is a joke. These teams are terrible.

Newsflash: Most of the national championship teams from the SEC weren't that great. '06 Florida and '07 LSU are the two worst national championship teams in the BCS era. 1998 Tennessee and 2010 Auburn weren't that great either. 2003 LSU got their asses kicked at home by a team starting a true freshman QB. Only '08 Florida, '09 Bama, and '11 Bama were "great" championship teams.

And this years probable champion belongs at the bottom of that list. Hell, 2006 LSU could prob beat 2012 Bama by 3 possessions. They would crush this LSU squad.

Of those, only 2008 Florida compares to 2001 Miami, 1995 Nebraska, 2004 USC. Florida had great defense, great QB, great coaching. Ole Miss scored an upset but no other team came close. Upsets happen.

2009 Alabama was solid but not explosive on offense and I don't think was as good as 2011 Alabama.

Of course 2011 Alabama didn't win its division and shouldn't have even gotten a rematch but it was probably Bama's best Saban team.
