Gotta give ESPN and Gameday some real credit

The first two years after Corso's stroke he was awful and I would have canned him. Would have been easy to do. But he's pretty well back to normal and sticking with him turned out to be the right thing to do and it took a lot of character for ESPN to do that.

I like old Lee Corso. He's funny and he doesn't spit when he talks, which puts him two steps ahead of his colleague who resembles Granny Clampitt.

Holtz is funny as frick though. I love those old stories he tells.
Corso tries way too hard to be funny at over the top, be he's lame as hell.

He's only funny to me because he gets so flustered when someone disagrees with him and spits twice as much. I'm not a Granny Holtz fan. The best I can do is admit that he's only as ridiculous as he appears because ESPN likes him playing that silly role.

So you think your wife is really your best friend. Try this then put both your dog and your wife and lock them in the trunk of your car for two hours and then tell me which one is happy to see you when you open the trunk. Lou holtz
