This isn't just about Miles being a gambler and he came up empty. We've all seen it happen and it's just a coaching call you live with.
This is about Miles making the most fundamentally stupid and tactically unsound call imaginable. That's why LSU fans are pissed.
2nd and 2, under 2 minutes. A running back averaging 10 yards per clip. A program built on running the football. A QB playing like hot garbage. LSU needed just ONE of three things:
1) Make Clemson use its timeouts
2) Run time off the clock
3) Get a first down
And Miles pisses all over it by letting Mett throw. That wasn't a gamble at all. It was an idiotic call that a pee wee coach wouldn't make.

Ok....heres exacxtly what went down last night in the closing minutes of the game. LSU ball around 30 odd yd line and first play was a surprise pass play which I approve of...caught Clemson stacked expecting run, gain of eight yds.. now you have 2nd down and 2 yds to go with two minutes left near your own 40 yd line...true..Clemson defense made LSU's OL look like pussymeat...but TWO freaking yds with two shots up the middle? Forcing Clemson to use their time outs and possibly making the two yds and the game would have been OVER....run out the clock with a first down. Passing on second and third downs was the stupidest thing Ive seen. Now..LSU punts AND THE PUNTER doesnt nail them deep inside their own ten...this punter needs some coaching up. Everything else was all Clemson and the fourth down throw and catch by Boyd and Hopkins was freaking unbelievable....Clemson was destined to win.

LSU just isn't a very good football team... They have tons of athletes all over the field but they are poorly coached and their QB is a tard... They have one of the worst pass blocking Olines in the SEC and they miss assignments in the secondary way too often... They beat AU 12-10, barely beat a razor thin OM team in BR and they beat Arkansas by a TD...in the end they were wayyyy overhyped and played down to their competition way too often this season.
