Cypress Inn has a pretty good steak. Don't know if they are open tonight though.

I've never had a steak there, but I've heard plenty of great things about it. Do they still do the white BBQ chicken?

I've heard that the new Downtown hotel is likely to bring an up-scale restaurant in as well. That should be a nice addition to a revitalized Downtown area.

Are you talking about the new Embassy Suites or another one? Embassy Suites usually have a pretty good restaurant.

Actually both. The Embassy Suites on the Tuscaloosa side and then the one across the river in Northport.

I'm not sure what hotel Northport is getting. Just that a restaurant is likely to come with it. But that's just a rumor.

I looked up the article. It is a Hampton riverfront hotel on the Northport side. And then a Embassy Suites in Downtown Tuscaloosa in the old Cityfest lot.

Definitely getting an Embassy Suites. A friend's company was bidding on one of the projects, and I've seen a few write ups on al.com about it. Can't remember seeing an Embassy Suites without a Ruth's Chris, but I admittedly don't stay in Embassy Suites very much.

Didn't know about the Northport hotel.
