Forrest Gump was a great one, but Shawshank didn't make a bit splash until later. Bad titles make for bad box office draws.
Dude had a lot of good points. Having heard about the novel, it's pretty certain he didn't do it. However, thinking he did and was able to create fictional people in his mind (to launder the money for example) makes it feasible that he created another person in his psyche to kill his creating arse wife.

I brought this up on the Mizzou board I'm on and they told me this as well. I may take it up, but I've seen the movie so many times I don't think I'd be able to see Andy as anyone but Tim Robbins and Red as anyone but Morgan Freeman.

I was the same way, so it's no biggie. The stories for Apt Pupil and Stand By Me are part of the same collection. You'd really enjoy it. It's one of King's best collections IMO.

Maybe I'm a momo, or I didn't pay attention in school. There's also a good chance I'm ignorant, but I don't see how it's likely a man gets AIDS from sex with an AIDS chick. Unless he's got some weird stuff going on down there.

Because when she slept with Forrest she ha already done all her junkie shite I think.
I dunno. I just have a hard time sympathizing with her. No one is perfect but she was a horrible, horrible count towards Forrest. And then calls him up just because she's dying to dump the kid on him? Sigh.

But she did name him after his daddy, so she had some love for him. She could have named him Jayden.

I bet it wasn't even Forrest's biological kid. She couldn't find anyone stupid enough to take care of the kid when she was gone.
