BCS ranking unless the 2nd team in BCS ranking is the head to head winner with the 1st IIRC.
In your scenario aTm beats Bama early, LSU beats aTm, then LSU loses to Bama.
Bama is likely the highest ranked in that scenario, so LSU is out.

frick, guess you're right. LSU will be the best of the 3 next year (IMO).
