my point is that ole miss isn't the only school with race as a negative part of history, and showed an example of my own school doing such things

I don't understand what point you are trying to make, it is common knowledge of the racial tension and issues that mired the south, which includes Texas btw, during the 1950s-1960s in regards to the desegration of public schools.

If you are looking for a "point", you are missing it as it isn't a school issue, it was largely a political issue and a resistance to change...

If you will research the occurrences of these riots and incidents you will learn that for the most part they occur from outside influences, not from the student bodies themselves because again these were political issues at the time and the universities became focal points for outsiders to gather and as they say the rest is history...
