What people don't seem to understand is SOS is not the end all be all of how "tough" a team's schedule was. It can be easily skewed to have a team with a "hard schedule" still have an easier path than a team with a "weaker schedule"
A simple example to illustrate this point. Team A and Team B.
Team A: Plays a team ranked #1 in the country and team ranked #70 in the country.
Team B: Plays a team ranked #24 and #25 in the country.
On paper it would say Team B had a much "harder schedule", but Team A has a much greater chance to go 1-1 in the games than Team B does.
The difference in beating a team ranked #40 and team ranked #105 is almost nothing in terms of playing them on the field, but can completely make a team's schedule "harder" averaging it out.
The only thing that really needs to be looked at is games against the Top 15 or Top 20
