Ocelots aren't exactly native to the state of Kentucky.

No clue why, but that made me laugh heartily.
Ocelot would be a choice mascot. I love me some non-traditional mascots (e.g., TCU Horned Frogs, Cal-Santa Cruz Banana Slugs, OSU Buckeyes).
