“We just felt like there’s a lot of student housing in Athens, but there’s not a lot of high-quality purpose-built student housing downtown,” Rogers said. “[Living downtown], students are near all the bars and restaurants and everything downtown has to offer, and they’re just a few blocks from campus.”
The housing project has been named The Standard at Athens, and it will be taking over the Athens Hardware building downtown.

The Standard will also have “super premium” or “real-world” units, Rogers said. These units will include a living room, built-in pool table and a full-size balcony overlooking downtown.
On the roof of The Standard, eight stories above downtown, there will be an infinity edge swimming pool complete with cabanas.

If you frat hard enough you develop an immunity to cocaine overdoses.

I wonder what company it is. There's a place exactly like this in CS that has an identical exterior, two badass pools and the premium units with the pool tables. Went up in 07 I think. Looks sick

Hmm that sounds familiar I'm not sure though. Either way the building in CS is pretty sick. The pools were ground level but an awesome time in the summer. Ours isn't by all the bars either like this one.
