My preference would be an oc of the same philosophy but not exactly the same. Obviously bring lashlee because Gus clearly has a great relationship with him and you could have his duties the same just a different title and accomplish the same thing.

And no I don't know who that oc would be and if there isn't one then it's moot.

The only OC that would even remotely fit the bill would be Morris at Clemson, and as touched on already no way in hell he'd be leaving there, much less be willing to play second fiddle to Gus, even though he has mucho respect for Gus and learned a ton from him.

And it;s not like Lashlee can't bring different viewpoints to the table in gameplanning, Lashlee has been an OC on his own for a year after all. But having two folks involved in the actual playcalling is a pretty terrible idea, I've never seen it work, including our own Nallsminger experiment.

Having Lashlee on board with different position and duties would be kind of pointless as well, as a real OC is just plain not needed with Gus here. But like I said before, not like Lashlee can't develop into one over the next couple years, and take alot of the duties from Gus.

I more interested to see how the kid can recruit, as that's the important part.

His rise just seems meteoric to have built his own repertoire.

Again not saying I don't want him on the staff just I'm skeptical of him at oc right now. And I'm certainly not rooting against him.

I do agree that as it exist oc doesn't matter. My concerns are his ancillary duties, recruiting personnel decisions etc which is why I think you can stick him at another position and put someone else at oc. But I don't know who that would be so it's have your cake and eat it too stuff.
