that was a disgrace, hopefully someone takes action and suspends him for the title game.

Jesus, it was a clean hit. Was it cheap? Yeah, but it was legal and the ref was right to not throw the flag. He was running toward the ball carrier following his interception, he was fair game.

Y'all need to unwad your panties.

Dial led with his shoulder and hit a player who had turned into a defender. It was a vicious hit and could have been called but Dial didn't launch and didn't lead with his head.

If a QB doesn't want to get hit, he shouldn't throw interceptions.

Doesn't know the rules of college football.

This isn't the NFL where the QB is protected at all times.

Once Murray threw the INT...he is a defender and isn't protected as a defenseless player.

In the Elston case, hitting a WR who is catching the ball is considered hitting a defenseless player. And carries the rule with it that the defender can not hit any part of his helmet to the helmet of the WR. Any part.

And since Murray wasn't a defenseless player in the Dial hit, Dial IS allowed to hit any part of his helmet to Murray's EXCEPT the crown of the helmet. And Dial didn't use the crown of his helmet, so......CLEAN HIT. NO PENALTY.

Maybe we could start a foundation like Tide for Toomers - we'll donate funds to your favorite charity. Will you love us then?

Maybe you could just remain forgotten then, like now, no one would care.

It was kind of a cheap shot and unnecessary, but it was legal and Murray needs to remember that he is now on defense. I hope Bama plays hard like that against ND.

Roll Damn Tide.

The Elston hit was H2H on a defenseless player -> illegal hit
The Dial hit was H2H but not a defenseless player -> legal hit

Even though Elston's hit was illegal, I didn't think he should've been suspended. I certainly don't think the SEC should be suspending players for legal hits like the one on Murray. No one should support that precedent being set.

If you think the rules should be changed to make QBs "defenseless players" after a turnover, fine, but that's not the way the rules are written in college football.

It was a cheap shot plain and simple. It should have been called clearly.

At least, Murray didnt whine and cry about it like McCarron did when he was tapped earlier in the game.

Its amazing how often Bama never gets clear penalties called. There was so much holding by the bama line in that game, as its been all year and never gets called...

Its starting to get really obvious imo....

Murry needs to learn to run not watch when he throws an INT. I doubt he makes that mistake again.
