Is The AP Poll Still Relevant?

The AP voters continue to recognize Ohio State even though they are on probation. Highly doubtful, but there is still talk of a split NC based on what happens in the BCSNC game by some of the media mouths that have a vote. Is the poll no longer needed and should the AP even be recognized any longer since it is not part of the BCS poll process?

Why would you forsake the vehicle that robbed so many deserving teams of National Championships in favor of the Crimson Tide. Shame on you.

The irony of this post is awesome.
Alabama fan questioning the legitimacy of recognizing titles.

It's only relevant when it's the only leg Bama has to claim a NC.

Only to teams on probation that can't participate in post season play.

It has become something of a booby prize - something teams that are not good enough/eligible for the BCS title hope for. Once the playoogs start, it will be the nail in the coffin.
